This is a gallery of train photography mainly taken in the Dumfries area and in the Lake District. My father was a big steam fan and used to take Standard 8mm film of local trains and of the early preservation days of the Ravenglass & Eskdale Railway. I was usually taken along and to keep me happy and occupied I was given a Kodak Brownie 127, my first camera. For many years I lost my interest in trains but since the millennium I find that my interest has been revived.
